Molly Hopkins - Miss Capital City USA 2023
We asked Molly a few questions about the upcoming Miss Louisiana USA pageant that she will be competing in.
How are you feeling about the pageant now all the contestants have been announced and it’s getting closer? I’m super excited! I’ve really been working on not being overwhelmed going in to big pageants since I’m still pretty new to the pageant world. It was also super refreshing to see so many new faces competing.
How has your prep been building up to Miss Louisiana USA? My pageant prep has been going amazingly well. I’ve really made so much progress both inside and out, especially pertaining to my interview and my overall mindset. This time around, I’m very much so focused on the feeling I have after competing and goals within that instead of the numerical results and placings. I’ll be wearing a new dress at Miss Louisiana and I’ve never felt more confident in a piece of clothing so that definitely helps.
What are you most excited about? 100% showing what I’ve been working on. I obviously have a lot of goals that are still a work in progress but I’ve also achieved so much these past few months. That being said, it’s obviously always fun to get dressed up and work a stage.
Are there any sponsors/partners you want to give a shoutout to? I’ve been going to Zanella’s Wax Bar in Baton Rouge ever since I moved to Louisiana so it was only natural I would ask them to sponsor me! I’ve never felt more comfortable going to an appointment than I have at Zanella’s.
